Angel Fire, New Mexico, Opening Day. Team of 6 Texans make the 11hr trek from DFW to Angel Fire NM accompanied by 6 bikes, 4 SkiByk SB100’s and SledgeHammer and one homemade conversion. The weather was absolutely glorious. Crystal clear sky, mid 20’s. Four feet of base and 11 inches of fresh powder. First run of the morning was the best we have ever ridden AF. The fresh powder and soft base made for high speed and superb carving. Four of the 6 attendees were first time bikers, all doing the blue runs by the second shot down the mountain. Met dozens of people including resort employees, Director of Angel Fire, ski and snowboard instructors. All curious to the SB100 capabilities and how to ride them. Short trip, 1.5 days, but it was worth every inch of the 600 mile excursion.
